A week of zero workouts, late-night scrolling, and delivered food? Welcome to Spiral 8 — where we recover from chaos and still make meaning out of it all.
🎢 This Week’s Vibe: De-optimized but Fully Human
I fixed my immigration paperwork which should’ve felt like a win. But then I stopped running. Skipped the gym. Ate every meal out of a container. And fell asleep with Netflix asking, “Are you still watching?”
The short version: my routine glitched, and I spiraled. You know when one habit slips and the whole system crashes? Yeah. That.
But we’re here. And still spiraling forward.
🍜 Nourishment Report: Sponsored by Delivery Apps
Did I eat a vegetable this week? Debatable. Did I order two meals from the same place in one day? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Also yes.
Sometimes the healthiest thing is not the salad. Sometimes it’s the lack of pressure to do everything “right.”
🛑 Korean, Gym, and Running = All Paused
No gym. No running. No Korean flashcards. The trifecta of “who even am I right now.”
But I know how this works ... I’ve fallen out of routines before (so. many. times). At this point my routine is falling out of routines and starting again. The trick isn’t guilt. The trick is restarting without turning it into a moral crisis.
We get back to it. We always do.
📱 Social Media Spiral: Reddit & Instagram, I See You
You’d think skipping the gym would give me extra time to rest. Instead? I mainlined Reddit threads and doom-scrolled Instagram like it was a competitive sport.
Highlights: – An alarming number of skincare product reviews – A deep dive on The Prestige theories and Christian Bales transformations for movies. – Multiple tabs open on “how to reset your life in 3 days”
No shame. But also: noted. The scroll is seductive. The brain fog is real.
🎬 Skipped Movie Week, Watched Weirder Stuff
Didn’t do my usual “cinema is therapy” routine… Instead, I watched:
- The Prestige well yes it's still good, and that's my first watch
- Nosferatu — long, silent, and 100% nightmare fuel. I know it was highly rated, but yeah it was okay imo
- M3GAN 2.0 — AI horror with chaotic energy I respect... panned online but I loved it
Turns out, movie week just evolved. Still counts.
📖 One Day, Two Hours, One Book
Finally sat down and read Liars Poker for two full hours. No distractions, no “I’ll just check one thing.” Just me and the absolute chaos of 1980s Wall Street. It felt… good.
More of this, please. Less scrolling, more stories.
💬 The Scariest Thing I Did: Reaching Out
I messaged someone I care about not to fix things, not to have a grand reunion, but just… to try. To make peace. Or whatever peace-adjacent energy I could manage.
It was messy. But also kind. And it mattered.
🌀 Spiral Summary: Not Ideal, Still Aligned
- Immigration: ✅ Fixed
- Routine: ❌ Glitched
- Growth: ✅ Quiet but real
- Screen time: 📈 Astronomical
Some weeks my productivity is in the trash. Sometimes it helps to listen to yourself. Mess up. Rest. Reconnect. And maybe spending a little too much money on things that make you feel alive.

This is Spiral 8 of 33. We’re nowhere near the end. And maybe that’s the best part. Well kind of, I'm already wondering if this is boring by now......
