Free starter pack
Your first book
A place to put the idea. A manageable next chapter. A note that helps you start again tomorrow.
Five small worksheets for fiction or nonfiction. You can open them in any text editor, paste them into the app you already write in, or print them. They won't write the book. They might make opening the document a little easier.

The ZIP contains five Markdown worksheets and a short getting-started guide. No account, email address, or software purchase needed.
Start with thirty minutes
Give the idea a little shape
Answer the first three questions in the book plan. Rough answers count. Stop after ten minutes.
Map just the next few pieces
Sketch three chapters or scenes. The chapter map includes fiction and nonfiction examples if you need a starting point.
Write, then leave yourself a note
Spend fifteen minutes in your manuscript. Before you stop, write down exactly where you'll start next time.
Inside the pack
- Book plan — reader, scope, finish line, and room in your week.
- Chapter map — a loose order and a repeatable chapter card.
- Writing session — one small task and a restart cue.
- Research parking lot — questions, sources, and checks for later.
- Revision checklist — structure first, chapters next, sentences last.
Make it yours
Keep your manuscript in a separate document. Duplicate the worksheets when useful, change the prompts, and skip anything that gets in the way. Completing every box is not the assignment.
You may adapt and share the worksheets, including for commercial writing projects. Your writing stays yours.
